María Milagros Paniagua San Martín

Specialist in data analysis and evaluation of public policies. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Ph.D. in Economics, and has completed undergraduate and postgraduate stays at various European universities. Since 2004, she has been a member of the Senior Body of State Statisticians.

She began her professional career in the private sector as a software developer before joining the National Institute of Statistics, where she specialized in data production and analysis, specifically in the Survey of Living Conditions.

Subsequently, at the Institute of Fiscal Studies, she developed microsimulation models to evaluate the impact of benefit and tax systems on inequality and poverty, and collaborated with the Directorate-General for European Funds (FEDER and ESF) and various organizations in Latin America and North Africa in the assessment of public finances.

She was currently the coordinator of the Spending Review at the AIReF, where she participated, among other things, in the evaluation of Active Employment Policies and Minimum Income Programs in Spain.
