Borja Suárez Corujo
Since June 2018, he has been General Director of Social Security Regulation, first in the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migrations, and then in the current Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations.
Born in 1973, he has a PhD in Law and a degree in Law and Political Science from the Autonomous University of Madrid, where he has developed his teaching and research activity as Associate Professor of Labor Law and Social Security.
He is the author of more than a hundred publications on labor and Social Security matters, with particular attention to the public pension system and the distribution of powers between the State and the Autonomous Communities in matters of social protection, as main lines of research. In this sense, the monographs "The public pension system: crisis, reform and sustainability", "The right to revaluation of pensions", "The reform of pension systems in Europe", and "Social protection in the State of the Autonomies".
He is a member of the European Institute of Social Security, and has been a visiting professor at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven).
