The Statistics on Granting of Spanish nationality on residence grounds is compiled from an administrative register managed by the General Directorate of Public Trust and Legal Security of the Ministry of Justice and count and describe persons who in the course of the year have received a favorable resolution to their application for Spanish nationality on the grounds of residence, for which they need to meet three basic requirements: 1. Good civic behaviour; 2. Sufficient degree of integration into Spanish society; 3. To have resided legally and continuously in Spain for a period of time that varies according to the case.
