El ministro Escrivá visita el proyecto piloto de inclusión de mujeres migrantes en la Región de Murcia

The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá, has traveled to Murcia to participate in an event of the College of Economists on the occasion of the celebration of Economist Day, which also commemorated this year the centenary of the institution. A day in which Escrivá gave a lecture entitled “Inclusive economic policy in the face of the inflationary shock”, in which he highlighted the certainty generated by the pension reform, and especially the revaluation of pensions according to the increase in prices, fruit of the agreement with the social agents and made the norm by the Cortes at the end of last year. A measure that, along with others such as the 15% increase in the amounts of the Minimum Vital Income and non-contributory pensions have led to “one in five people in Murcia have their incomes protected from price increases,” according to the minister.

The holder of Inclusion has also had the opportunity to know first-hand the pilot project of the Ministry that develops Fundación Cepaim in the region of Murcia to favor the inclusion of non-community migrant women beneficiaries of the Minimum Vital Income or the Basic Income of Insertion. The itinerary will act on 766 people and its budget allocation exceeds 4 million euros from the Recovery Plan. The project will be deployed over 12 municipalities and has the collaboration of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, “an example of integration that will allow, together with the other 33 pilot projects, to scale the best practices for the reduction of vulnerability among the most disadvantaged groups,” said Escrivá.

During the official visit the minister also went to the headquarters of the Provincial Directorate of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), where he was able to talk with the workers and those responsible for the INSS, the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS) and the Social Institute of the Navy (ISM) and thus know in detail the current situation of these institutions in the Region of Murcia, especially in terms of citizen care services, and congratulate everyone for their dedication.
