- Synopsis
Since 2008 this report on the development of racist and xenophobic attitudes in Spanish society has been produced based on the analysis of the results obtained from the “Attitudes towards immigration” survey conducted at the end of 2010 by Spain’s Sociological Research Centre (CIS). These results inform the development of guidelines for implementing measures enabling us to effectively prevent or combat racism, xenophobia and intolerance.
The report is divided into three sections. The first describes how Spaniards’ receptiveness towards immigration has evolved. The second analyses immigrants’ social integration and the third describes harmonious interaction with immigrants and the image they have.
