Functions

  1. The preparation of the preliminary draft social security budgets, in accordance with the social protection policy established by the Government, as well as establishing coordination with other departments on social security budgets.
  2. The economic-budgetary management of current and capital transfers, as well as any other income in favor of the General Treasury of Social Security, within the credits of the service "Secretariat of State of Social Security and Pensions" integrated in the budget of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration.
  3. Promote and quantify the contributions from the State budget required to protect the Social Security protection provided by the State in each financial year.
  4. The monitoring, coordination and financial adequacy of the management corresponding to the subsistence assistance pensions for invalidity and retirement regulated in Law 45/1960, of 21 July, creating certain National Funds for the social application of Tax and Savings.
