1. The promotion, analysis, elaboration and coordination of plans, strategies and action programmes in the field of social inclusion.
2. The monitoring, evaluation and review of policies, programs and strategies for inclusion and social benefits, aimed at ensuring inclusion.
3. The analysis and proposal of improvement and redesign of the existing benefits to the competent departments, in the field of inclusion policies, in order to avoid possible duplications and maximize the effectiveness of these.
4. The study, report and proposal of the regulations of the Minimum Vital Income and associated measures with the purpose of reducing inequality, poverty and the fair socio-labor participation of the most disadvantaged groups, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030.
5. The relationship and technical collaboration with the department responsible for the European Social Fund and with other departments competent in other relevant funds in the field of social inclusion, as well as with the Autonomous Communities in the field of inclusion and those social benefits limited to that field.
6. The relationship and technical collaboration with the European Union and international organizations in the programs related to social inclusion.
7. Support, advice and technical assistance to the relevant bodies in the field of analysis, monitoring, evaluation and modification of minimum income systems and social inclusion policies in the Autonomous Communities, without prejudice to the competences currently attributed to the Territorial Council of Social Services and the System for Autonomy and Care of the Unit.
8. The preparation of the statistics assigned to the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration and attributed to it in terms of inclusion policies.
