Functions

  1. To act as a permanent body for the collection, analysis and exchange of quantitative and qualitative information received from the bodies of the General Administration of the State with competence in matters of foreigners, immigration, international protection and nationality.
  2. Collect, promote and guide the dissemination of the information obtained on these matters.
  3. Promote, develop and disseminate research, surveys, studies and publications on the migratory reality.
  4. Produce and publish official statistics included in the National Statistical Plan, as well as the flow and stock statistics of residence permits required by Eurostat.
  5. Design and maintain a database that centralizes and relates as much statistical information as possible about the foreign, immigrant and nationalized population.
