The indicator of days quoted to the Social Security has increased by 18.1% from 2019 to March 31, 2026. If the actual days quoted are taken into account, the increase is 15.6%, according to the latest statistic published today by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration. This information is obtained from the membership records and the reports of the contribution bases held by the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS).
In the case of quoted days, the data are calculated from the time series that the TGSS registers and that starts in January 2019. This offers a great level of detail, by disaggregating the information by sex, activity section and contract type.
The Secretary of State for Social Security and Pensions, Borja Suárez, highlights that: “The beginning of the year 2026 confirms the quality of the employment created in recent months. It marks the line to follow in the present and future: more stable contracts with better economic conditions. So much so that we can confirm that we have overcome some structural problems presented by our labor market, such as temporality and low representation of young people and women.”
The actual days quoted, neglect the days in ERTE (Files of Temporary Regulation of Employment, both partial and total), temporary disabilities and other benefits (birth and care of minors, risk during pregnancy and during natural lactation).
