The Social Security Informatics Management (GISS) has organized an information day in which, under the title The AI revolution: impact on the present and forecast for the future, the possibilities and challenges posed by the use of artificial intelligence (and in particular generative artificial intelligence) in an organization such as Social Security were addressed. It also discussed the current regulations in the world and the ethical aspects that this technology entails.

The GISS highlighted that “one of our functions is to see how technology evolves to take advantage of it in the service of citizens and companies, who are our customers. In particular, this family of technologies is taking on quite a large preponderance and immeasurable expectations.”

Experts from technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, Gartner, IBM, AWS and Teradata, as well as from the University of Salamanca, participated in the conference. All the speakers agreed that artificial intelligence will help amplify people’s skills and improve the productivity and service offered to citizens, not replace people.
