Social Security membership increases by more than 45,000 employed in the last two fortnights in seasonally adjusted terms

Social Security membership increased by 45,418 employed in the last two fortnights in seasonally adjusted terms, reaching 21,472,259 employed.
If we deduct seasonality and the calendar effect, in the last year affiliation has grown by 484,154 people, a figure in line with both pre- and post-pandemic levels, with an increase of 108,852 affiliates since December 2024.
With data available through March 14, the total number of affiliates has increased by 617,880 people in the adjusted series since December 2023, and by 1,169,439 since December 2022, prior to the entry into force of the labor reform.
The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, highlights that: “Daily membership has grown by 191,015 people from February 28th to March 14th, a pace of job creation that demonstrates the good health of our labor market.”
