Importass, the official application of the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS), is two years old and exceeds 3 million downloads on mobile devices. Specifically, there are 3,006,130, as of September 14.
This mobile application, which has just expanded its services with the incorporation of the new section “Special Agreements”, is designed to speed up the procedures with Social Security, bring them closer to the administration and avoid unnecessary travel, thanks to the possibility that they carry out their procedures in a safe, fast and simple way, through the mobile.
The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, highlights: “We continue to take steps to bring Social Security closer to citizens and make procedures easier every day. The more than 3 million downloads and the issuance of more than 17.3 million Working Life reports that have been made in just two years show the great reception of this computer application.”
In its two years of life, Importass has consolidated itself as one of the main channels of communication of Social Security with citizens, by moving all the functionalities of the web portal to the mobile version.
Since its launch, in September 2024, this application has been downloaded on more than 1.7 million Android devices and almost 1.3 million on iOs.
In turn, during this time, improvements have been made to advance the user experience and make procedures increasingly accessible and intuitive, with the implementation of new services and the constant improvement of its design.
How to get Importass
To be able to download the app it is as easy as accessing through the QR codes or from the stores of the applications listed below:
Apple Store (iPhone and other Apple devices)
Google Play Store (for Android phones)

Among the advantages of the app, they highlight the possibility of receiving personalized warnings and notifications, as well as the download of documents and the possibility of saving them on your own device for consultation without the need for an Internet connection.
This app has several sections. Among the latest updates, there is “Your requests”, which allows you to check the status of the files, provide documentation and track them. It includes both applications initiated with digital identification and those submitted without identification by sending a selfie, aligning the mobile experience with the Importass website.
The app combines two types of complementary communications: informational messages and personalized notifications, which send communications directly to the device, even when the user does not have the application open.
With the aim of offering flexible, secure and personalized access to Social Security procedures and data, the application allows a wide variety of procedures to be carried out. They highlight the procedures related to the regularization of self-employed workers, which allow you to consult the status of the process, download personalized information, access the electronic notification and make the payment without leaving the application of Importass itself.
New section “Special Agreements”
In the latest update, the General Treasury of Social Security incorporated the section “Special Agreements”.
The Special Agreements - which are agreements signed by workers with the TGSS - allow the right to Social Security benefits for workers to be maintained or extended, which will be considered to be in a situation of discharge or assimilated to discharge, in exchange for the obligation to pay the corresponding quota.
To bring this process closer to these users, a section has been created from which you can consult information about what a special agreement is, the types that exist and how to request them. Furthermore, a direct access to a guided service has been introduced that helps the user to find the special agreement that best suits their situation and another that directs the registration service in the special agreement, in which its procedure has been simplified both for registering and for changing data.
There is also the option to “calculate your fee”, through which you can know what would be the indicative fee that the interested party would have to pay in case they signed the corresponding special agreement. From the Personal Area the user can also consult all the information of the agreement or agreements they have signed with Social Security.

Currently, there are 234,000 special agreements signed, of which 2,993 have been signed through Importass from June to September.
This new section is also available on the Importass website, under the section “Special about”.
A design based on citizens
User feedback is important to improve usability and accessibility, so much so that Importass has incorporated a section of “Give us your feedback” that allows you to send comments and suggestions in an open and detailed way.
Finally, the section “We help you” that accompanies users in the use of the application has been improved. To do this, it gathers guides, videos and help pages organized in a clear and accessible way, as well as a section of frequently asked questions and direct access to send inquiries to Social Security.
