Functions

  1. The design, promotion and evaluation of policies that aim to help the incorporation and participation in society, in equal opportunities, of the most disadvantaged groups, as well as actions aimed at promoting the effectiveness of benefits and the sustainability of the Social Security system without prejudice to the competences of the other organs of the Department.
  2. The promotion, elaboration, coordination and follow-up of policies, strategies, plans and action programmes in the field of inclusion, in cooperation with other ministerial departments within the scope of their respective competences in the field of social affairs and, in particular, with the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030.
  3. The definition of inclusion objectives and development of a system of indicators with which to carry out the measurement, monitoring and evaluation of the inclusion objectives.
  4. The analysis, evaluation and realization of projections aimed at ensuring the financial sustainability of the Social Security system and the efficiency and adequacy of its benefits.
  5. The coordination of the economic aspects of the reports of the normative impact analysis at the Department level.
  6. Support and advice in the elaboration, analysis and, where appropriate, dissemination of any statistical activity to the different units of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration in the field of competences.
  7. Coordination of the Department’s representation to multilateral agencies and support in the preparation of studies and reports that the relationship with these multilateral agencies requires.
