The Government adapts the regularization procedure for migrants to make it more accessible

- The Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030, and the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, have published on Tuesday a guide that explains, in Easy Reading, which migrants can request their regularization and what steps should be taken.
- The objective is to ensure that anyone has guaranteed understanding of this process and can access it, especially those migrants who do not have Spanish as their mother tongue or are not familiar with the administrative language.

The Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030, and the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, have published on Tuesday an initiative aimed at facilitating understanding, and therefore access, to the process of extraordinary administrative regularization of migrants who already reside in Spain. An initiative with which the Government of Spain wants to guarantee this right to migrants, especially those who have difficulties of understanding, because they do not have Spanish as a mother tongue, because they are not familiar with the administrative and legal language or for other reasons such as being in situations of intellectual disability, low levels of literacy, or others.
To do this, the Government of Spain has prepared a document in Easy Reading and public access (can be downloaded in this link.
Promoted by the Ministry of Social Rights and the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations, the project has been executed through the Spanish Center of Cognitive Accessibility (CEACOG), in addition, have adapted these same contents to language of Spanish signs with the collaboration of the Center of Linguistic Normalization.
