  1. Information and public relations.
  2. Proposal of the strategic planning of the Agency and the organizational elements of its services.
  3. Planning, direction, execution and evaluation of the activities of control and evaluation of the services, as well as the analysis, proposal and development of actions in the field of quality of the services.
  4. Assessment and proposal of improvements in the care of citizens.
  5. Programming, management and control of the network of Social Security administrations and facilities.
  6. Planning and management of internal regulations and personnel administration of the General Treasury, including challenges in this area.
  7. Planning, development and evaluation of training policies.
  8. Preparation of plans for material resource requirements and maintenance of central service facilities, including management of their operation and quality.
  9. Management of the preventive activity and the health of the staff.
  10. Management of the general register and archive and of the central documentary fund.
  11. Coordination of the Sub-Directorates-General of the General Treasury of Social Security.
  12. Replace the Director General in cases of absence, illness or vacancy.
