    • Synopsis

      This report aims to establish a series of basic conceptual clarifications that may serve as a guide to address and discuss the issue of so-called “hate crimes”. It aims to clarify concepts including hate, discrimination and intolerance, hate speech, and hate incidents in order to facilitate debates on theory.

      It also adds a list of personal conditions and causes of discrimination that most often appear in penal codes, i.e. ethnicity and race, ideology, religion and creed, nationality, gender, sexual identity and orientation, illness and disability.
